Maasai Sunset

These beautiful fabrics have all the warm, rich and deep colours of the Serengeti at sunset.

The Maasai are a tribal people inhabiting this area. They are known for their extraordinary height and beauty as well as being fierce warriors.

Jamaica

the colours in this palette reflect the bold, bright and spicy things of Jamaica - the landscape, the ocean, the flowers and the food.

Wailea

Wailea is toward the south end of the Island of Maui in the Hawaiin Islands. If ever there was a place to describe the word "Paradise", Wailea would be it. Warm climate, soft trade winds blowing, the air scented with the amazing flowers growing so abundantly there.

This colour palette reflects some of the beautiful hues you will find in Wailea.

Sticks & Stones

These colours represent all the natural found objects on a beach, - stones, driftwood, shells, bone, etc. They are also great for skin tones in a quilt.

Wuthering Heights

I gave it this name because it has those dark, brooding colours that remind me of the old black and white movie classic, Wuthering Heights. It just seemed to be an appropriate name.

Hareem

Hareem showcases the strong and vibrant jewel tones that one would imagine could be found in the Sultan's Palace of Topkapi during the time of the great Ottoman Empire. if one could manage to get a peek inside the hareem's enclosure I am sure these would be the colours to be found there.

Santa Fe

Santa Fe represents the colours one would find driving through the Southwest, Arizona, New Mexico, just before sunset.

Serengeti

Serengeti, like Maasai Sunset, reflects the colours of the great Serengeti Plain in Africa, but this one is reflective of its daytime colours.

Silk Road

We produce a 12-step colour collection of silk satin charmeuse which is 19 mm in weight. The name of this particular colour wheel is "silk road" taken from the ancient trade route through the middle East and Asia. Think Camels and tents, throw in an oasis, palm trees and some persian carpets and there you are! Very decadent!

Ooak's

There are always "cloth or dye spirits" that appear in the fabric as I iron it dry. Isn't this face amazing? Actually, there are multiple images in this piece of fabric. So that is one of the reasons my fabric is different from most other hand dyes out there and why I love to do it.

Gold to Pink

10 part two colour run - golden/orange/yellow to bright purplish pink. These two colours resulted in a lovely mellow run of very subtle oranges and rusts. Think"shade garden" and/or autumn landscape quilts.

Yellow to Pink

10 part two colour run - lemon yellow to deep, hot pink. This is another great garden/flower combination. Bright yellow running down to vibrant hot pink. The bonus here are the great oranges in this run - think pumpkins and Halloween as well as summer gardens.

Yellow to Green

10 part two colour run - sun yellow to blue/green. This run has resulted in the most magnificent array of "kermit" greens. Fabulous for anything to do with nature, - garden/forest in sun/jungle in sun, etc. Also for frogs!

Blue to Raspberry

Medium blue to deep pink. This run has yielded some of the most luscious purples I have seen, from bright purple down to beautiful violets. Very yummy!

Lavender to Green

10 part two colour run. This run has to be dedicated to Monet I think because the colours that it has produced are perfect for anything to do with Monet's waterlillies or any other type of water garden. Beautiful with soft and subtle violets and greens. Too cool!
